Description: Manufactured from 6061 T6 651 aluminum, hard anodized and Teflon coated, this pump is small and very effective. This pump will out flow and produce higher peak vacuum when compared to any competitors pumps with a comparable chamber size. Our intake and exhaust positions and internal porting are key to this pumps efficiency. The intake and exhaust ports are placed tangent to the rotor and are uniquely desined, while competitor pumps are compromised due to thier design flaws. Star Machines one piece shaft and rotor is proven to be lighter and more reliable than two piece designs which are prone to fastener failure and key to keyway wear. The Star Pump bearings are mounted outside the pump chamber with an additional seal on each bearing. This additional seal is required to achieve maximum vacuum potential and to eliminate any chance for grease to be pulled into the pump. Pump housing, rotor and end cap have been hard anodized and then teflon coated. This process eliminated wear and reduces friction. All mating surfaces are o ringed and secured with stainless hardware. The intake exhaust plate can be configured for 12 AN or .750 dia. slip on fittings. In addition our regulator is mounted to this plate, eliminating the need to place a regulator and bung elsewhere on the engine. There are two major benefits to our integrated vacuum regulator. First, when the regulator set point is reached, outside air is drawn directly into the pump helping it run cooler. Second, by placing the regulator outside the crankcase, the excess air being bypassed will no longer pass through that engine. It now flows directly into the pump reducing any chance of oil being scavenged from the engine. Shown with 36T aluminum pulley, regulator and AN fittings. 3.08 pds.
