Not all hardware is created equal, this special 12 point 1/2 inch hardware offers a larger suface area of contact than any other 12 point nut that is available. Distributing the load more equally over the cylinder head will allow better clamping of that head to its block deck surface. Our own research and development tests have proven that the sealing ability is greatly enhanced by using this special 12 point 1/2 inch hardware. You will not find a flange surface with this much material on it. It works! sold in sets of 20.
