Description
Vacuum pump. Manufactured from 6061 T6 651, hard anodized and Teflon coated This design is light, reliable and efficient. This pump will out flow, and produce higher peak vacuum than any competitors vacuum pump that incorporates a comparable chamber size. The correct intake and exhaust configuration, give this pump its efficiency. Tangent intake and exhaust ports to the rotor floor are key. Competitors pumps are configured differently. Star Vacuum pumps one piece aluminum shaft rotor design is lighter and more reliable than the two piece designs which have been prone to fastener failure and key to keyway wear. The bearings in this Star Machine pump are mounted outside the chamber and have an additional seal on each bearing. This design allows for increase vacuum and will eliminate any grease from being sucked into the pump. The pump housing, rotor and end cap have been hard anodized and teflon coated to eliminate wear and reduce friction. The intake and exhaust plate can be configured for -12 AN, 3/4 or 1 inch dia. slip on fittings. The regulator is mounted to this plate which eliminates the labor and parts cost to add one elsewhere. The benefits to a direct mount regulator are to eliminate outside air that could be drawn in through the crankcase which results in elevated air temps that will run through the pump. Second, the Star Machine pumps unique regulator design prevents any chance of oil being scavanged from the crankcase. Shown with mounting bracket STR.02.07.004.
