A dial bore guage is one of the most important tools to have to accurately check the inside diameter of your rod bearings, main bearings, cylinder bore, rod housing bore and main housing bores. Plastigauge is not an accurate method to verify your engines clearances and you will never see any good engine builder using the plastiguage method. This dial bore guage reads in increments of .0001 and can acurately read housing bores that are less than 2 inches and up to 6 inches in i.d.
