Excellent choice for a modified 400 engine. Heavy chop. Deep exhaust tone. Heavy lope. Stall speed of 2400 to 2800 suggested. Suggested for single plane intake manifolds such as Holley Street Dominator, Torker or Port O Sonic. True roller rockers with 7/16th rocker studs a must. Aftermarket ignition. Headers suggested. Compression ratio 10.0-10.5. Works well with manual transmission or automatic. Gear ratio suggestion for manual transmission 3.73 to 4.30. Gear ratio suggested for automatic transmission 3.55 to 4.10. RPM range 2800 to 6000.
